McDonald's (39783503)

A WOMAN who smashed a glass panel in McDonald’s – after she was told the fast-food chain had not received her order – has been bound over to be of good behaviour for three months and ordered to pay for the damage.

Lacey-Jayne Inca Jade Holloway (30) ordered her food online but when she went to collect it from the restaurant in Halkett Street on 26 November she was told the order had not gone through, and she was asked by staff to pay for it there and then.

She showed staff a bank statement proving the money had left her account and was told she would receive a refund in a few days , and in frustration she kicked a glass panel in a door on the way out, breaking it.

Holloway admitted malicious damage, and Advocate James Bell, defending, said: “She regrets her actions. She was wearing trainers and didn’t expect it to break.”

Relief Magistrate Sarah Fitz told her: “I accept this is out of character for you.”

As well as the binding- over order Holloway was ordered to pay £1,378.
