Long delays after car overturns

St Saviour's Hill. (39504806)

LONG delays were being reported to traffic around the St Helier ring road after a car overturned on a major route between the capital and the north-east of the Island.

The incident happened earlier this afternoon at the bottom of St Saviour’s Hill, adjacent to the junction with Highlands Lane, and left the grey vehicle sitting on its roof and appearing to be badly damaged.

In a social media post, States of Jersey Police advised motorists to avoid the area.

Islanders reported significant delays to the usual Friday traffic, with some reports indicating that up to four vehicles had been involved in a collision.
